GWO Working at Height and Manual Handling Combined

The aim of this course is to give students the basic knowledge, through practical and theoretical learning, to enable them to demonstrate understanding of:
Legislation
Working at Height PPE and PFPE
Fall Prevention including Dropped Objects
Vertical Fall Arrest Systems
Spinal Anatomy and Posture
Planning
Suspension Trauma
Emergency Procedures
Rescue Devices and Procedures
This course can be physically demanding and to participate in the training you must be medically fit and capable to participate fully.
Course is conducted in English, therefore you must have an appropriate level of fluency to participate.
This course is not attendance based and successful completion of all modules is required in order to pass.
Prerequisites
Valid photographic identification
Proof of fit to train
18 years and over
Students will need to bring
Appropriate clothing to climb in
Appropriate clothing for all weather conditions
Safety footwear
PPE is provided by Hexis, should you wish to use your own this needs to be advised prior to the course commencing, allowing Hexis to inspect and sign off for use (certs of conformity will need to be shown on the day of your course). Hexis withholds the right to refuse use of equipment should it fail visual inspection.
